Country cutie Laine Hardy, who is busy recording an album in Nashville, might have taken the show’s title on the 17th season of “American Idol.” But runner-up Alejandro Aranda claimed the hearts of the show’s fans with his soulful singing voice, terrific guitar work and especially the seven original songs that he performed on the show. Right after the reality competition finale ended, he announced a seven-date U.S. tour that starts in Washington, D.C., on July 8. The tickets sold out in minutes.
Turns out he will also be in Nashville next week just in time to set off some musical fireworks.
Not to worry, homies. This week, Aranda announced 28 more dates in October and November on his Instagram account . He also touted the fact on Twitter that he also is working on an album in a studio and confirmed his song “10 Years” will be included after a fan inquired. Let’s see if “Idol” Katy Perry fulfills her on-air wish to be his roadie.

Even more exciting, he will be releasing a new single on Friday. Those lucky enough to secure tickets to his concerts that bear his pre-fame moniker as Scarypoolparty.”Idol” fans will likely get to hear the self-penned songs they loved on the show in person, including “Out Loud,” “Cholo Love,” “10 Years,” “Poison,” “Blesser,” “Millennial Love” and “Tonight.”
Meanwhile, Seattle will host a reunion between Aranda and his fellow Top-10 singers including Hardy this summer when they perform at the city’s Museum of Flight’s Lunar Block Party on July 20.
