Jackie Evancho may have lost season 5 of “America’s Got Talent” back in 2010 but she has been a big winner when it comes to record sales and concert sellouts. She is hoping to be the first-ever winner of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.” As you can see from the teaser video above she sings “Music of the Night” flawlessly during her audition.
Jackie is one of the 10 acts appearing on the February 4 episode of this “AGT” spin-off. She is hoping that her rendition of this show-stopper from the Tony-winning musical “Phantom of the Opera” will get the Golden Buzzer from new host Terry Crews. Among the other nine acts with the same goal is the reigning “AGT” winner, magician Shin Lim.
The line-up on this fifth and final audition episode also includes three winners of “Britain’s Got Talent”: shadow dance group Attraction (2013), pianist Tokio Myers (2017) and comedian Lost Voice Guy (2018). Two other acts won in their respective countries: sand artist Kseniya Simonova won “Ukraine’s Got Talent” in 2009 and escape artist Cosentino took the “Australia’s Got Talent” title in 2011.
The roster is rounded out by three other acts who lost their bids to win “America’s Got Talent”:
musical group Sons of Serendip (AGT 2014);
singer Sal Valentinetti (AGT 2016); and
mentalist Colin Cloud (AGT 2017)
