Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Jodie Comer is entering the “Killing Eve” episode “I Hope You Like Missionary” as her 2019 Emmy Awards submission for Best Drama Actress. This program aired May 12 and was the sixth episode of the second season for the BBC America show.
In this installment, notorious assassin Villanelle goes undercover as a woman named Billie from New York after uncovering new information about Aaron Peel (Henry Lloyd-Hughes). She tries to befriend his sister but causes conflict instead.
Comer is a first time contender at the Emmys. For the 2019 contest, she is competing against past winners Viola Davis (“How to Get Away with Murder”) and Laura Linney (“Ozark”), previous nominees Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”), Sandra Oh (“Killing Eve”) and Robin Wright (“House of Cards”) and rookie nominee Mandy Moore (“This Is Us”).
