Julianne Hough (‘AGT’) anoints herself ‘president of the Gingzilla fan club’ following bearded drag queen’s performance [WATCH]

During Tuesday’s Season 14 premiere of “America’s Got Talent,” judges Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union, Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel met Gingzilla, a “seven-foot ginger bearded glam monster.” The Australian entertainer took on Tom Jones‘ “She’s A Lady” and had all of the panelists wanting more, more, more … especially as she kept pretending to exit the stage. Following the drag queen’s performance, newbie Julianne took to Twitter to profess her love of the act, writing, “I am the president of the @Gingzilla fan club. #AGTPremiere.” Watch Gingzilla’s “AGT” audition video above.

As Gingzilla explained in her pre-taped video package, “When I was growing up, I had so many people being intolerant to me. Gingzilla to me is absolute freedom. I get to be so much bigger, so much more passionate. I’ve used all of the things that I used to be bullied about — being too tall or being ginger, being effeminate — and I’ve turned the dial up to 1,000. Gingzilla is like the love child of Jessica Rabbit and Chuck Norris.”

Following Gingzilla’s breakout performance of “She’s A Lady,” Howie raved that she was “so entertaining,” Simon proclaimed that this type of act was “exactly why we created this show,” while Gabrielle noted, “Ging, I’m here for the whole thing. You should get used to this kind of reaction.”

As for fan club president Julianne, she declared, “I mean, I can absolutely see you in Vegas right now, owning a show. I would come every weekend.” Do you agree with Julianne that Gingzilla has what it takes to be a superstar on the Las Vegas strip? Sound off down in the comments section.

In his “AGT” live blog, our recapper John Benutty had this to say about the performance: “Australian bearded drag queen Gingzilla was up next, planning to make it big enough to get a doll in Japan and invited to party on a yacht–but also to win ‘AGT.’ While her deep vocal was solid, it was more about the entertainment value which mixed the singing with comedy and overall charisma. Howie made the bold statement of telling her she could go really far in the competition and Julianne thinks Vegas is meant for her. Simon and Gabrielle joined the chorus and combined for a unanimous YES vote from the panel.”
