Monday night during the latest live episode of “Celebrity Big Brother,” Kato Kaelin walked out the front door and kissed the ground after being evicted by a unanimous 5-0 vote over Tom Green. Upon meeting host Julie Chen Moonves, he reveals that he didn’t expect to be sent packing. “I want to see if there was a typo,” he explains. “Maybe auto-correct or something? I was very surprised. Tom said he was going to go 5-0.”
Julie asks why the house would have wanted Kato out instead, but he wasn’t sure, stating, “I’m not going to put Tom down at all. I said, ‘Buddy, if it’s you fantastic. If it’s me, great. If you win, it’s us winning.'” Prior to “Celebrity Big Brother,” Kato and Tom had not been friends.

“I had seen him around at a few comedy clubs,” Kato reveals. “But in 20 days bunking together you really get to know someone. We slept together!” Despite their tight bond, the duo social media has been calling “Tomato” couldn’t make it to the end together.
Julie reminds Kato of his and Tom’s failed attempt to backdoor Ricky Williams, and Kato was adamant it was the right move. “We had a feeling,” he explains. “I mentioned the acting and I thought ‘something is going on’ and we thought they were after us. We had our opportunities twice. Tom missed that field goal (in last week’s Veto competition) and he was going to put Ricky up. And then I missed that buzzer (in Monday’s Veto competition).”
Julie then brings up the fact that Kato saw Lolo Jones turn on Ryan Lochte earlier in the season, so why did he align with Lolo and Natalie Eva Marie? “Because they’re beautiful!” Kato exclaims. When asked his final thoughts about the game, Kato felt sentimental. “I’m gonna be friends with Tom my entire life,” he says. “I had a great experience here. Everybody is so supportive and you (Julie) are such a beauty! Everybody, yeah!”
