“What a moron,” exclaimed Kemi Fakunle during Sunday’s nominations episode of “Big Brother” Season 21 after Head of Household Jack Matthews put her on the chopping block next to Jessica Milagros. The Brooklyn, NY marketing strategist continued, “Surprise surprise, I’m on the block. If I were him I would have backdoored me, because there’s a Veto to be played and I’m someone who thrives under pressure. So bring it on.”
Of course, Jack has been gunning for Kemi since last week when he dramatically berated then-HOH Christie Murphy into putting her up as a replacement nominee. Will this Aquaman lookalike finally get his wish by sending Kemi to Camp Comeback? Make your predictions now for the upcoming live eviction episode on Thursday, July 11.
Jack played it cool in his ceremony speech, saying that he nominated Kemi and Jessica because he “respects” them. However, he then twisted the knife slightly when he added, “We don’t talk much game. I’ve also heard from multiple sources in the house that if you had the opportunity as HOH you would put me on the block, as well as forming an alliance that I’m not a part of. So in order to protect my game, I have made this move.”
The alliance he’s referring to is The Black Widows, which consists of Kemi, Jessica, Nicole Anthony and Isabella Wang. Unbeknownst to the other three girls, Isabella is actually part of a bigger eight-person alliance, Gr8ful, so she ran and told Jack about the girls’ group immediately after it was formed. That knowledge was all Jack needed to hear in order to put Kemi and Jessica up on the block this week. “At this point I need to be a gun for Gr8ful and take them out one by one,” he explained.
For her part, Jessica seemed just as mad at Jack as she was at the mystery person (cough, Isabella) who spoiled her brand new alliance. “I am livid right now,” the Illinois plus-size model declared in the Diary Room. “I don’t know who I can talk to, who I can trust. I’m gonna fight for my life to win this Veto. And then when I take myself down, I think I might have to just stir the pot a little bit and try to figure who here is not down for Jessica to stay inside this house.”
Will Wednesday’s Veto necklace change Jack’s two nominees for eviction? If so, who might Jack put up as a backdoor nominee? With 14 players left in the proper competition, and eight of them being in the Gr8ful alliance, that means the only likely replacements he’d consider would be Cliff Hogg, Kathryn Dunn, Nicole Anthony and Sam Smith.
