Ken Jeong (‘The Masked Singer’) has had enough of the Nicole Scherzinger-Thingamajig showmance: ‘This isn’t the Masked Tinder!’

The unrequited showmance between “The Masked Singer” judge Nicole Scherzinger and costumed contestant Thingamajig hit a snag during Wednesday’s 10th hour when fellow panelist Ken Jeong declared, “I really think we’re going off the rails here. This is about the performance. This isn’t the Masked Tinder!” At first the showmance appeared to be just for laughs, but after this week’s episode it was clear Nicole’s infatuation with Thingamajig was for real. Hey, where’s Anthony Anderson when we need him to officiate the wedding?

During Thingamajig’s performance of “Haven’t Met You Yet” (watch above), the background video showed a fake dating app called Date-A-Magjig that revealed his one true match to be Nicole. “Is this ‘The Masked Singer’ or ‘Love Connection’?” Jenny McCarthy wondered aloud.

“I’m here for it! I finally found my match,” Nicole cooed before telling the neon green monster she loved his song choice. “You had a little bit more fun with your character,” she smiled. “You hit some really high notes and you really opened up on your range and I really appreciated that.”

When it was Thingamajig’s turn to speak, albeit in a garbled voice, he teased, “Nicole, what’s your perfect day? Because I want to start planning ahead.” Nicole giggled and asked if that was a clue in which to guess his identity, with host Nick Cannon responding it meant Thingamajig was “single.”

Some of the names thrown out by the judges were Montell Jordan based on the height, Brian McKnight based on his sprained ankle, and Dennis Rodman based on the clue that he married himself. Thingamajig almost left the competition this week, but managed to survive in the smackdown against Butterfly, aka Michelle Williams. Who do YOU think is hiding behind his mask?
