Kodi Lee will win “America’s Got Talent” by a wide margin according to our survey of viewers. A whopping 40% of those that tuned into the first live quarterfinal of “AGT” on August 13 are predicting this singer with a heartwarming story will take the season 14 title next month. Kodi, who is both blind and autistic, was Gabrielle Union‘s Golden Buzzer.
According to those who voted in our poll, Kodi is all but certain to earn a place in the semifinals for his stirring rendition of the Simon & Garfunkel classic “Bridge Over Troubled Waters.” If you haven’t cast your ballot yet, be sure to do so at the bottom of this post. Only three of the other 11 acts who performed on Tuesday earned double digit support in our predictions poll. Julianne Hough‘s Golden Buzzer pick Luke Islam sits at 12% for his uplifting performance of “You Will Be Found” from the Tony-winning musical “Dear Evan Hansen.” The quartet Voices of Service are right behind at 11% for their toe-tapping harmonizing on “Fire” by Gavin DeGraw. And Greg Morton is at 10% for another round of impressions drawn from the movies.
The third Golden Buzzer act of the night, Sophie Pecora, registered 6% support for her unique style of singing and rapping that had won over guest judge Brad Paisley. Another teen talent, Ansley Burns, is likewise at 6%. This Wild Card act wowed with her rendition of the country music classic “Swinging.” And looking to round out the top 7 is Alex Dowis, who uses blacklight to paint vivid images.
