Light Balance came close to winning season 12 of “America’s Got Talent” in 2017. They placed third behind ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer and child singer Angelica Hale. This Ukrainian dance troupe has returned stateside to compete on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.”
They appear on episode 2 of this winter edition of the hit summer series that airs on January 14 on NBC. Also numbering among the 10 acts performing on Monday night is Farmer: watch her performance video before the big show (Hale is also competing and will appear on an upcoming episode).
When Light Balance auditioned in the spring of 2017, they got the Golden Buzzer from “AGT” host Tyra Banks. She is not presenting this spin-off; that job has gone to Terry Crews. Will they inspire him to do the same tonight with their routine that makes great use of LED?
Light Balance sets themselves apart from the other dance groups on “AGT” by adding neon lights to their costumes and then choreographing a dance routine that incorporates a light show. They do their dance in the dark to achieve the maximum effect. When they competed in the “AGT” final in the 2017, they had all four “AGT” judges — Mel B, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, nd Howie Mandel — on their feet at the conclusion of their dazzling performance.
