Marin Hinkle (‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’) 2019 Emmy Awards episode revealed for Best Comedy Supporting Actress (Exclusive)

Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Marin Hinkle is entering the episode “Simone” from “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” as her 2019 Emmy Awards submission for Best Comedy Supporting Actress. This program streamed December 5 and was the first episode of the second season for the Amazon Prime show.

In this season premiere, an unhappy Rose (Hinkle) moves to Paris unexpectedly. Daughter Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) and her husband Abe (Tony Shalhoub) follow her there to convince her to move back home.

This is the first career Emmy nomination for Hinkle. For the 2019 contest, she is competing against last year’s champ and co-star Alex Borstein (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), past winner Kate McKinnon (“Saturday Night Live”), previous nominee and co-star Olivia Colman, returning nominees Anna Chlumsky (“Veep”) and Betty Gilpin (“GLOW”), plus rookie contenders Sian Clifford (“Fleabag”) and Sarah Goldberg (“Barry”).
