Everybody’s favorite one-eyed Monster returned to “The Masked Singer” stage in Wednesday’s seventh episode, performing Joan Jett & The Blackhearts‘ “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll” for judges Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke and guest panelist J.B. Smoove. After Monster’s performance the judges seemed as confused as ever, guessing everyone from Lil Jon to Mike Tyson. What did YOU think of Monster’s latest performance on Fox’s reality TV show? Watch it above and then let us know down in the comments section.
“I don’t know what the hell is going on around here, but this is incredible,” raved J.B. “This Monster is a fabulous performer. With that one eye and those two teeth — those two baby shoes in your mouth — let me tell you something, man: I’m blown away.”
Nicole chimed in, “Monster, you just be stepping it up week after week. You have all them runs and them ad libs. You took a rock song and you did your own thing on it. I don’t know who you are, but that was a great performance. You’re absolutely one of my favorites.”
Robin agreed with Nicole, adding, “He’s been my favorite for the last few episodes. You make me smile ear to ear and your performances are unpredictable. You don’t do the same type of music every week, which is why I still believe you are definitely a professional singer. I think I should be able to recognize it, but I just can’t.” Robin later guessed comedian Tommy Davidson.
When Nicole reminded the panel about some of Monster’s previous clues — including a boom box, a money gun and that he was a “bad boy” — Jenny brought up rapper Lil Jon. The idea of a boxer was then thrown about, but Ken rolled his eyes and said, “I don’t know any boxers who releases albums.” That’s when J.B. went wild by suggesting Mike Tyson. Um, no.
