Feeling hungry? Then you’ve come to the right place! During Tuesday’s final audition episode of “America’s Got Talent,” the judges met their match in a comedian who calls herself Kara with a K. This 37-year-old Texas native who excels at physical comedy repeatedly reached into her bra and pulled out food items like french fries and a hamburger, then later stole Simon Cowell‘s drink. Despite her naughty act, all four judges (Simon, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union and Howie Mandel) voted yes to send Kara through to the next round. Howie: “You’re like this hilarious buffet. You’re not only funny, but your physical comedy, your props, I loved it. And thanks for the snacks.”
Gabrielle: “More, please. More, mama, more. I absolutely love you.”
Julianne: “You are honest and true, but funny and self-deprecating, but also empowering. I think that is what people feel and see. I love it.”
Simon: “You’re like the Dolly Parton of comedy, aren’t you? You know what? Me and Howie, we were saying before the season started if we could find someone who takes something like food out of their bra, we’re in. And be careful what you wish for, because it just happened.”
In his “AGT” live blog, our recapper John Benutty had this to say about the performance: “Next to audition was Texan by way of Hollywood Kara with a K to deliver her comedy set. Her energy was wild throughout a set revolving around her struggles with weight and beauty issues. But it was her physical humor that really set the crowd ablaze, as well as an up close and personal interaction with the judges that involve her giving them fries from inside her bra and stealing Simon’s drink. The judges loved everything about her performance and delivery and so sent her through with four enthusiastic YES votes.”
