Preacher Lawson nearly gets naked for votes on ‘AGT: Champions’ and flusters Heidi Klum: ‘Look at these muscles!’ [WATCH]

“I mean, look at these muscles!” said a flustered Heidi Klum during Monday’s Finals performance episode of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” after comedian Preacher Lawson nearly got naked for votes. Preacher’s latest stand-up routine was all about going to the gym, so by ripping off his shirt on the “AGT” stage it was his way of showing he “did [his] homework,” he told host Terry Crews. Watch Preacher’s “AGT: Champions” performance video above.

When Terry asked if stripping was worth it, Preacher responded, “Even if they didn’t laugh I would have ripped off my clothes.” Heidi agreed, shouting, “Yes! It was! Yes!” Fellow judge Mel B also seemed distracted by Preacher’s naked torso, demanding that Terry “go to the next person” after he asked her to critique the comedy act.

As for Simon Cowell, he raved, “I felt tonight I wasn’t looking at a competition. I felt genuinely I was just watching a star. It’s as simple as that. I really mean that, Preacher. Everything about you has got better. And you are fit.” Back in Season 12 of “AGT” Preacher lost the ultimate title to ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer, but now he’s clearly in it to win it.

Howie Mandel, himself a successful stand-up comedian, noted, “You give us everything. You know, there are funny physical comedians, there are funny verbal comedians, there’s great story-tellers … you are all of those in one. That’s why we love you. I’m so proud that a comedian has made it this far!” Indeed, Preacher is the only comedian in the Finals of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.”

Howie also mentioned the show’s Superfans who have all the power this season. After the 12 acts performed on Monday night, these delegates from all 50 states cast their votes for who they wanted to win “AGT: Champions.” Since Preacher previously earned the Superfans’ votes back in his first performance episode, does that give him a leg up in the season finale? Find out who wins when the results show airs Monday, February 18 on NBC.
