Rose Short (‘Big White Room’) wins ‘The Voice’ Knockout for Gwen Stefani after Blake Shelton’s heartfelt rave [WATCH]

During Monday’s episode of “The Voice,” Gwen Stefani paired up Rose Short and Destiny Rayne for her latest Knockout. Rose (34) took on “Big White Room” while Destiny (23) performed “Tell Me You Love Me,” but only one powerhouse singer could advance to the Playoffs of Season 17. After a brief deliberation, and a little help from her boyfriend Blake Shelton, Gwen decided to keep Rose and say goodbye to Destiny. Do you think Gwen made the right decision? Watch “The Voice” video above and then sound off down in the comments section.

“Hands down, that’s been my favorite performance of the Knockout rounds so far,” Blake raved about Rose’s rendition of the Jessie J hit. “I couldn’t be happier for you that you have Gwen as your coach because I’ve had Gwen as my best friend and I can see the effect that it has on somebody, the way she helps you to believe in yourself.”

As Gwen started to tear up, John Legend chimed in, “This man actually has a heart.” He and Kelly Clarkson also agreed Rose killed the competition. “Your notes were just gorgeous and clear. They made us all feel something. It was phenomenal,” he told Rose. That was the nail in Destiny’s coffin as she previously was a member of Team Legend before she lost her Battle to Katie Kadan.

Gwen told Destiny she was “amazing” but that she was worried she was losing who she was an an artist. As for Rose, Gwen stated, “To choose a song that has the lyric that really reflects where you are right now I think is what really came across. That just made it moving for me as well. The winner of this Knockout is Rose.”

In his “The Voice” live blog, our recapper Denton Davidson had this to say about the performance: “Rose is up first with her performance of “Big White Room” and her rich tone immediately fills the room even before she rips into the chorus. And boy does she rip into the chorus. We’ve never heard Rose like this before and midway through the performance Kelly and John are already on their feet. That was a breakout performance!”
