Rose Short’s ‘Maybe I’m Amazed’ performance has ‘The Voice’ coach Gwen Stefani feeling like she’s ‘on drugs’ [WATCH]

Monday night during “The Voice” Top 11 performance show, former corrections officer Rose Short sang “Maybe I’m Amazed” for her adoring fans. This Texas native of Team Gwen Stefani gave such a powerful rendition of the song, Gwen could hardly speak. “I feel like I’m on drugs!” Gwen declared on live television. Do you think America will vote Rose into the Top 10 of Season 17? Watch the performance video above and then make your predictions before Tuesday’s results show.

“I have tears,” Gwen simply stated after Rose brought the house down with her rendition. “I am so moved by you tonight. It was almost like I was in a dream watching you walk toward me. When you came down the stairs the way you did, it was so you. I can’t find the words to describe how unbelievable that was. That was mesmerizing. I feel like I’m on drugs! I don’t do drugs, but if I did them, it would be Rose. That was incredible. I’m so honored to know you right now.”

Fellow coach Kelly Clarkson also agreed Rose knocked it out of the park. “That was like from the Lord!” Kelly shouted. “That was so good. I feel saved. It was very tastefully done. You were feeling it. You wanted it out. You were bouncing. It had such great dynamics. It was really, really killer, Rose.”

This marks Gwen’s fourth season as a coach, though she has yet to win the championship. Will any of her remaining Season 17 artists — Rose, Joana Martinez or Myracle Holloway — make history for Team Gwen on “The Voice”?

In his “The Voice” live blog, our recapper Denton Davidson had this to say about the performance: “Rose is injecting soul into this pop/rock ballad that puts her full range on display. I like that she’s not overdoing the verses and sticking with the melody before absolutely whaling on the chorus shaking the rafters. This is my favorite performance of the night so far and the coaches seem to agree because they were on their feet before the song was even half over.”
