Season 11 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” ended with a shocking result. Heading into the “Grand Finale” on May 30, Brooke Lynn Hyte was predicted to win but ended up in second when Yvie Oddly was named “America’s Next Drag Superstar.” What do you think of this controversial call by RuPaul Charles?
Did Yvie deserve to win the season 11 crown, not to mention the $100,000 grand prize, over Brooke Lynn? Or are you outraged that one of the other two finalists — A’Keria C. Davenport or Silky Nutmeg Ganache — was robbed of a place in “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Hall of Fame? Vote in our poll below about which of these four queens was the most worthy winner and then sound off in the comments section.
Heading into the final, Brooke Lynn was the only one of the final four to have won three main challenge during Season 11. By comparison, Yvie eked out only a single victory while A’Keria and Silky each prevailed twice. After the latter two were eliminated in the first two lip sync showdowns, the final saw Brooke Lynn and Yvie take to the stage in a sudden death match.
Who do you think was better performing to “Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga? Brooke Lynn lit up the stage, first in a big smock that read “Reveal” all over and then in a mirrored catsuit. Yvie was clad in a mirrored dress and sported a headdress that made it look like she had three heads. Each was flawless in their routine, with Brooke Lynn the more athletic of the two while Yvie was the more graceful.
