Ryan Niemiller advances to ‘America’s Got Talent’ live shows after joking about dating with a disability [WATCH]

Stand-up comedian Ryan Niemiller returned to the “America’s Got Talent” stage during the second Judge Cuts episode after previously poking fun at his own disabilities. This time around the self-described “trailer park kid” joked about his own lack of a dating life in front of judges Simon Cowell, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union, Howie Mandel and Dwyane Wade. Ryan’s first joke had the entire audience in stitches: “I actually just flew in from Indiana and boy are my arms missing! Well, that’s United for you.” In the end the judges loved Ryan’s act so much that they advanced him to the live shows at the Dolby Theatre. Watch the “AGT” video above and read the judges’ comments below.

Howie: “Oh my gosh. You know how I feel about you. I love you. You are just funny and bright and lovable and memorable and deserve a shot on this show.

Dwyane: “You are one of a kind and you own it. It is just incredible to sit here. I could listen to you all day. Thank you for those laughs. I appreciate it. You are special, man.”

Simon: “From the second you walked up, I actually felt you were having the time of your life, genuinely. And when a comedian is confident, it makes us feel confident.”

In his “AGT” live blog, our recapper Denton Davidson had this to say about the performance: “Last on the stage tonight is stand-up comedian Ryan Niemiller. The 36-year old had a rough childhood growing up in a trailer park with an alcoholic father. Ryan also has a disability and pokes fun at his own appearance a lot. In fact, it is sort of all he does. He’s got good stage presence, I would just like to hear him focus on more subject matter. I didn’t laugh, but the judges and audience seem to enjoy it. He’ll definitely make the live shows.”
