Sandra Oh (‘Killing Eve’) 2019 Emmy Awards episode revealed for Best Drama Actress (Exclusive)

Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Sandra Oh is entering the “Killing Eve” episode “You’re Mine” as her 2019 Emmy Awards submission for Best Drama Actress. This program aired May 26 and was the eighth and final episode of the second season for the BBC America show.

In this installment, British investigator Eve Polastri (Oh) dresses up as a cleaner to save the assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer) but winds up being saved herself. The two women escape to Roman ruins and have an argument. Villanelle shoots Eve, but the season ends and the audience doesn’t know her ultimate fate.

Oh has two other nominations this year, including ones for hosting “Saturday Night Live” and another for the Golden Globes. She has had six prior Emmy noms and is the only returning nominee in this category. For the 2019 contest, she is competing against past winners Viola Davis (“How to Get Away with Murder”) and Laura Linney (“Ozark”), previous nominees Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”) and Robin Wright (“House of Cards”) and first-time contenders Jodie Comer (“Killing Eve”) and Mandy Moore (“This Is Us”).
