Simon Cowell swoons over ‘America’s Got Talent’ girl group GFORCE: They got ‘way, way better’ in Judge Cuts [WATCH]

They’re baaack! Girl group GFORCE, who previously auditioned with their original song “Break the Bank,” returned during the second Judge Cuts episode of “America’s Got Talent” to perform in front of Simon Cowell, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union, Howie Mandel and Dwyane Wade. “This round we really want to show Simon that we are the bosses,” the pre-teen Canadian singers/dancers proclaimed in their pre-performance video. This time around their original song was called “Simon Says,” which told the personal story of their journey so far on the reality TV show. Watch the video above and read the judges’ comments below.

Gabrielle: “The reason I wanted to become a judge on ‘America’s Got Talent’ is precisely for this moment. What made me an even bigger fan is when you said, ‘We are our own bosses and always have been.’ You had me at hello.”

Dwyane: “You guys are incredible. The swag, the confidence, the attitude. Like, whatever y’all selling I’m buying it. It’s amazing.”

Howie: “Listen, you’re adorable, you’re good dancers, you’re good singers. But if I’ve gotta be totally honest with you, I couldn’t hear a word. All I heard was ‘Simon says’ and ‘jump.’ I didn’t feel that this performance had the same impact as your first. I don’t think it was enough.”

Simon: “I have a real pet hate with groups who are told what to say, everything’s rehearsed. It never, ever works because it’s all about authenticity. But having said that, I think this is a way, way better audition than the first time.”

In his “AGT” live blog, our recapper Denton Davidson had this to say about the performance: “Tonight’s second act is GFORCE, a five-member girl group that has been rehearsing every day since their first audition. This group of Canadian youngsters is singing a song called ‘Simon Says,’ in hopes of gaining the judge’s attention. It’s an empowering song and these little girls are rapping, singing and dancing around the stage. I imagine there is a nation of kids who probably love this kind of act, but I can barely tolerate watching 90 seconds of this. The judges absolutely love them and Gabrielle says she became a judge precisely for this moment. Dwyane loves their swag and attitude. Howie thinks they’re adorable but doesn’t think their performance was enough to move forward. Thank you Howie! Simon loves them.”
