Stand-up comedian Ryan Niemiller (‘America’s Got Talent’) wows Queen Latifah in Semifinals: ‘I’m waiting for the movie!’ [WATCH]

As the last stand-up comedian in the running to win “America’s Got Talent” Season 14, Ryan Niemiller returned in the Semifinals 2 performance show for another chance at impressing viewers before next week’s Finals. For this week’s set, Ryan joked about traveling cross-country to arrive in Los Angeles and how all of the midwest states looked the same, as if he were in a Looney Tunes cartoon. Guest judge Queen Latifah was so impressed that she shouted she was “waiting for the movie!” Watch the “AGT” live video above, read the judges’ comments below and then make your predictions before Wednesday’s results show.

Howie Mandel: “Ryan, in the package before you said you want to just be taken for who you are. And I’ll tell you who you are. You’re a very funny, talented comedian who deserves to be in the Finals. America, vote for Ryan.”

Gabrielle Union: “From the first time you hit the stage to tonight you have been killing it. I cannot wait for your comedy special. You deserve to be here. You deserve to be in the Finals. America, please vote.”

Queen Latifah: “Oh my God, I’m still laughing. You know, in hip hop when you battle one of the best things you can do is be self-deprecating. Say everything about yourself and you take the power out of the hands of the other people. You have not only done that but you have mastered it and made it hilarious. So I’m waiting for the movie!”

Simon Cowell: “Well, thanks for the reminder of my gaffe a couple of weeks ago. Ryan, the person you are, because I went up and I said ‘I’m so sorry’ afterwards and you were laughing and it says everything about you. How I feel about you on this show is that I don’t feel like this is an audition any longer. I feel that you’re taking us along on your ride to the final and watching you just get funnier and more confident and so happy, and that makes us happy. You have to be in the final because you’ve got a shot at winning and you deserve to be there. Respect.”

In his “AGT” live blog, our recapper John Benutty had this to say about the performance: “For Ryan Niemiller‘s comedy set tonight he focused on his ‘dumb decision’ to drive cross country to be on the show. That opened the door for him to tell jokes about the state of the country between the coasts and the mishaps that go along with making a cross country trip. The judges kept it short and sweet in their critiques of his act, saying that he’s a star and that he stands on his own with his talent. Latifah was a big fan, calling him a ‘master’ and ‘hilarious.'”
