“I think Dan ‘Wardog’ DaSilva is such a villain now that I can’t see him making it a week or two,” Gold Derby’s Marcus James Dixon tells Susan Wloszczyna about who might be voted out next in “Survivor: Edge of Extinction.” Susan agrees that Wardog will be out next week “because he’s so full of himself” following his successful plan to blindside Kelley Wentworth in the 10th episode. Watch our “Survivor” Season 38 video recap above.
Both Gavin Whitson and Julie Rosenberg are “mad at him now” because they weren’t included in the blindside, adds Marcus. Susan chimes in, “Oh yeah, the look on [Gavin’s] face that he wasn’t part of the team. He didn’t know the plan. That’s always a bad thing.” Marcus concedes that Wardog “needs to win immunity or he’s gonna be cut” in next week’s 11th episode.
Overall this episode was “not as crazy as last week,” says Susan, to which Marcus fires back, “How could it be?!” Last week’s episode featured one of the most chaotic tribal councils in “Survivor” history, while this week’s episode was a fast-paced hour that included two immunity winners (Aurora McCreary and Rick Devens), two tribal councils and two eliminations (David Wright and Kelley).
Marcus proclaims, “The big takeaway though is bye-bye David, bye-bye Kelley. There’s no more returning players in the game. Of course, they’re all on Extinction Island. One of them probably will have a shot to come back.” Susan is confused why Kelley didn’t play her hidden immunity idol, reminding us, “Her name comes up maybe every week at some point.”
Also in this week’s video recap, Susan and Marcus discuss how Kelley ruined Lauren O’Connell‘s game by telling the Extinction Island cast-offs that she had an idol, when the next eliminated player might return to the game, and who we think will ultimately win “Survivor: Edge of Extinction.” Watch our prior video recaps for Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3, Episode 4, Episode 5/6, Episode 7, Episode 8 and Episode 9.
