Susan Boyle has returned in triumph to the franchise that launched her career in 2009. While she was only runner-up on “Britain’s Got Talent,” she could well win the first season of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” with this stunning performance of her signature song “I Dreamed a Dream.” Above, you can watch her win over the crowd and judges in this video that leaked in advance of the finale on Monday, February 11.
Susan took to the stage with that same confidence that won over the world almost a decade ago. Back then she surprised everyone with her heartfelt rendition of this showstopper from “Les Miserables.” Since then, this sassy Scot has carved out a career with chart-topping albums and sell-0ut concerts.
She stole the show on the first audition episode of this “AGT” spin-off with her take on the Rolling Stones classic “Wild Horses.” Rather than rock out, she slowed the tempo down and turned this into a sexy torch song. Her rendition won over Mel B, who hit her Golden Buzzer sending Susan straight through to the final.
While Boyle was only a runner-up on “BGT,” she says she sees herself as “a champion for those who, maybe, don’t have the confidence to do things, for those that don’t have a voice, the ones who people tend to ignore. I feel I’m a champion for them.”
