Ted Danson (‘The Good Place’) 2019 Emmy Awards episode revealed for Best Comedy Actor (Exclusive)

Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Ted Danson is entering “The Good Place” episode “The Worst Possible Use of Free Will” as his 2019 Emmy Awards submission for Best Comedy Actor. This program aired November 8 and was the seventh episode of the third season for the NBC show.

In this installment, Michael (Danson) shows Eleanor (Kristen Bell) her romantic memories with Chidi (William Jackson Harper) and confesses that he has often failed to predict her behavior. He argues that all of their work is pointless if everything is pre-determined. Michael sends them to Canada to find a “blueprint for humanity.”

Danson has received 17 Emmy nominations in his career with two wins in this category for “Cheers” in 1990 and 1993. For this year’s contest, he is competing against reigning champ Bill Hader (“Barry”), previous winners Michael Douglas (“The Kominsky Method”) and Eugene Levy (“Schitt’s Creek”) and returning nominees Anthony Anderson (“Black-ish”) and Don Cheadle (“Black Monday”).
