‘The Bachelorette’ deleted scene: Hannah Brown and Mike Johnson learn about Loch Ness Monster and love [WATCH]

A deleted scene from this week’s episode of “The Bachelorette” finds Hannah Brown and Mike Johnson learning all about how the search for the Loch Ness Monster equates to their search for love (watch above). While having their one-on-one date at a local bar in Inverness, Scotland, the couple was interrupted by a local man who wondered if they were on holiday to try to find the creature of lore. “Do you know where the monster lies?” Hannah innocently asked the man, to which he responded that he’d spent his entire life searching for the Loch Ness Monster.

Soon after arriving in Scotland, Hannah had surprised Mike by asking him to be her first date. They went to a sweet shop where they ordered candies, then had whisky and haggis. Their date ended at said bar, where Mike opened up more about his ex and falling in love. Viewers of the TV episode didn’t see the encounter with the local man who told them all about Nessie.

“I equate this mystery of trying to find the Loch Ness Monster to the pursuit of true love,” the man told an eager-eared Hannah. “I may dedicate my whole life to trying to find Nessie, which I am doing. But some people dedicate their lives to find it but never find it. Some people are lucky enough to find Nessie with a camera while they’re just going through. It’s elusive. It’s not something that you can just say, ‘Right, I’m going to find it, I’m gonna find the monster, I’m gonna find true love,’ and hope to do it.”

Hannah’s mouth shot open in shock when the local man announced that he’d spent 28 years sitting on the beach trying to find the monster. “It’s the hunt,” he declared simply. “The important thing is the hunt, the not compromising, the pursuit of what makes your or my heart sing. That’s what you’ve got to find.”

As the camera cut away, Mike laughed that he’s “getting the feels.” Could Mike and Hannah be on their way to finding love with each other? In our recent poll, only 4% of viewers thought that Hannah should ultimately pick this 31-year-old portfolio manager from San Antonio, Texas as her Mr. Right. See the complete poll results here.
