Raise your hand if you saw this one coming: Luke Parker is still a contestant on “The Bachelorette”!
At the start of Monday’s episode of “The Bachelorette,” Hannah Brown had seven suitors to choose from: Luke, Garrett Powell, Tyler Cameron, Peter Weber, Jed Wyatt, Mike Johnson and Connor Saeli. Throughout the romantic Netherlands trip, Hannah said goodbye to Mike and Connor because her feelings weren’t as strong for them. She also gave individual roses to Tyler, Jed and Peter after their successful dates, which meant the final rose of the Top 4 came down to 27-year-old golf pro Garrett vs. 24-year-old import/export manager Luke. When she chose Luke, Garrett’s heart was ripped to shreds (watch above).
“There’s a real opportunity that she’s going to end up with Luke,” Garrett declared during his exit interview with ABC’s reality TV show. “The guy schemed his way into hometowns. He’s done it every single week. I’m so pissed off. Luke’s gonna keep saying what Hannah wants to hear. It’s gonna last for the rest of her life and she has no idea.”
For her part, Hannah explained why she kept Luke in the competition. “My conversation with Luke went really well,” she stated. “Of course we’ve talked about our faith, but I didn’t know exactly how his faith came into play in his life. Although Luke and I’s relationship is complicated, we have a very intense connection.” She concluded by saying, “I”m going where my heart is leading me.”
Garrett exhaled, “I’m just so rocked right now. I’m still in love with Hannah. The fact is I’m just so shell-shocked. It’s gonna be hard to put myself out there again like that. I’ve never put it out there like that.” This eliminated bachelor was the first person to tell Hannah that he loved her, which made his dismissal all the more difficult for the former Miss Alabama USA.
Next week’s hometown visit will feature Hannah crisscrossing the country to meet the family members of Luke, Tyler, Jed and Peter. Of this Final 4, which suitor do YOU hope Hannah ultimately chooses on Season 15 of “The Bachelorette”? Vote in our poll below and then defend your choice in the comments section.
