It’s official: Hannah Brown will be your “The Bachelorette” for Season 15. However, Bachelor Nation is seemingly divided over the big reveal that this 24-year-old Miss Alabama USA will be the reality TV show’s next suitress. In our recent poll, 70% of readers said that they were “hoping they’d choose someone else.” To compare, only 19% voted that they were on board with Hannah B., saying that they “loved her so much” on Colton Underwood‘s season of “The Bachelor.” The remaining 11% of poll respondents wanted to “think about it more.”
Hannah was visibly emotional during Tuesday’s “Bachelor” finale when host Chris Harrison announced her as the 15th “Bachelorette.” “Glad to be here — roll tide!” she shouted when she came out live on stage. “I feel all the emotions, but honestly I’m just really grateful for this opportunity. It didn’t happen for me on my first time around, but I do believe that it can happen.”
Chris surprised Hannah by telling her that her season of “The Bachelorette” would begin right then and there. Five single suitors then stepped out on stage to present Hannah with roses and their best pitches. Luke said that she was the only one he wanted to be “The Bachelorette.” Dustin toasted Hannah with champagne. Cam serenaded Hannah with his original “hot mess express” rap. Connor wanted to see her on “the same level,” so he gave her a stepping stool. And Luke S. stated that he was willing to “go down south” for her.
Hannah got the opportunity to present one of the aspiring bachelors with a rose, and she chose Cam. “This is one of the hardest decisions that I’ve made this season,” she joked. “To those of you who do not get this rose, I can’t wait to see you all back at the mansion and, you know, try harder. In all seriousness, you are all so great and it makes me really excited for seeing you all again and just the journey that we all have together.”
As fans of Colton’s season of “The Bachelor” already know, Hannah’s extreme awkwardness during dates is one of her hallmark traits. Colton ended up eliminating her during the seventh week of his fence-jumping season because their connection wasn’t strong enough, which ended up working out in her favor. Hannah’s season of “The Bachelorette” begins May 13 on ABC.
