‘The Bachelorette’ finale jaw-dropper: Hannah gets engaged to Jed … but he has a girlfriend! What does this mean for Tyler?

For once, “The Bachelorette” host Chris Harrison wasn’t exaggerating: that really was the most dramatic finale of all time.

During Tuesday’s two-hour capper of Hannah Brown‘s season, the former Miss Alabama USA ultimately decided between her final two guys: 25-year-old singer/songwriter Jed Wyatt and 26-year-old general contractor Tyler Cameron. Long story short: Hannah ended up dumping Tyler at the alter and then accepted a marriage proposal from Jed, against the wishes of “Bachelorette” fans. But soon after Hannah and Jed were engaged, she found out that he had a girlfriend at home! Cue the boos from the live studio audience.

Viewers then witnessed an extremely awkward meeting between Hannah and Jed post-engagement in which he revealed that he’d told a girl he loved her just one day before leaving to go ABC’s reality TV show. You may recall Hannah sent Scott Andersen home on day one when she found out he had a girlfriend back at home, but Jed didn’t seem to get the message that that would be an issue for him as well.

Cut to the present, with Chris bringing out Hannah and Jed in front of the live crowd to a mix of cheers and hisses. Hannah confirmed that their engagement was off, ending months of speculation and rumors. Chris then asked whether the couple still had feelings for each other. Jed responded that he “always will be” in love with Hannah, but she countered back that her “feelings have changed” and she no longer holds a place for him in her heart. Something tells us he’ll be writing a song about this.

Just when you thought the show couldn’t fit in anymore twists and turns, out came Tyler to a wild standing ovation. Hannah’s entire face lit up as she met up with the man for the first time since dumping him back in Greece. Tyler explained that “it was a tough breakup” all those months ago, but admitted that he loved watching the episodes on TV because Hannah was so “powerful and strong.”

Hannah then put on a brave face and asked him out for drinks, to which Tyler happily accepted. “You’re an incredible guy and I’m a single girl,” she laughed as her face turned bright red.
