During Monday’s episode of “The Bachelorette,” Hannah Brown came thisclose to quitting the competition because of all the recent drama, but in the end, she decided to stick it out. As she explained to host Chris Harrison, “I have really lost a lot of hope, but I’m still holding on to knowing that there’s gotta be good that comes out of this. It’s hard, but I don’t give up. I’m gonna complain about it because I gotta be loud and be real about how exactly how I feel … but I’m gonna see this thing through to the end.”
As a recap, Season 15 was filled with drama from Day 1, with Scott Andersen being sent packing because he already had a girlfriend. Cameron “Cam” Ayala later tried to guilt Hannah into giving him a pity rose, which she didn’t fall for. Finally, the bitterness between Luke Parker and Luke Stone that began with a rugby body slam ended with Luke S. quitting and Luke P. being hated by all of the other guys. Even though Hannah admitted to seeing “red flags” with Luke P., she still gave him a rose and welcomed him into the Top 9.
After making the decision to stay on the reality TV show, Hannah told Chris that she “doesn’t know” if this process will result in her finding the love of her life, adding, “I want to be able to fall in love. I see that there are relationships here that like really could be it for me, but I’m not gonna settle and just go into something if it’s not where it needs to be.”
Following Hannah’s one-on-one conversation with Chris, the remaining guys — Connor Saeli, Dustin Kendrick, Dylan Barbour, Garrett Powell, Jed Wyatt, Luke P., Mike Johnson, Peter Weber and Tyler Cameron — all traveled to Latvia for the next stage of the competition. Hannah is hoping that the current locale will finally bring her happiness, as opposed to those tearful turns in Rhode Island and Scotland.
