‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ will lead SAG TV Awards with 4 nominations: See all predictions by show

Get ready for a “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” domination when the 26th Screen Actors Guild Award nominations are unveiled Wednesday, December 11. The Amazon Prime comedy, which last year won SAG statuettes for Rachel Brosnahan, Tony Shalhoub and its entire ensemble cast, will lead all TV shows with four bids, according to Gold Derby’s racetrack odds. Next in line are four programs — “Barry,” “Big Little Lies,” “The Crown” and “Fleabag” — that are expected to nab three trophies apiece. Scroll down to see all 2020 SAG Awards predictions by TV show.

The third season of Amazon’s period piece about a divorcee (Brosnahan) who becomes a stand-up comedian just debuted on December 6, but members of the SAG nominating committee received screeners early. Besides a main ensemble bid, the show is forecasted to receive individual noms for Brosnahan, Shalhoub and Alex Borstein. Don’t forget, unlike on the film side, the TV categories don’t distinguish between lead and supporting roles. That means Brosnahan and Borstein will compete against each other, just as they did last year.

Joining the “Mrs. Maisel” cast in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series will be “Fleabag,” “Barry,” “Veep” and “Schitt’s Creek,” according to our predictions. Meanwhile, the lineup for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series is predicted to be comprised of “The Crown,” “Game of Thrones,” “Big Little Lies,” “Succession” and last year’s champ “This Is Us.”

Find out who wins when the 26th SAG Awards air Sunday, January 19 on TNT/TBS in a ceremony that will honor Robert De Niro with the life achievement award. Here are Gold Derby’s complete nomination predictions by TV show:
