The sultry showmance between “The Masked Singer” judge Nicole Scherzinger and costumed contestant Thingamajig climaxed during Wednesday’s two-hour episode when guest panelist Anthony Anderson announced his approval. “I can marry them. I’m ordained,” Anderson said. At first the showmance appeared to be just for laughs, but after this week’s episode it was clear Nicole really, truly has a “thing” for Thingamajig. “I’m one of Nicole’s biggest fans,” Thingamajig stated backstage after his latest performance. “You know, I’m just glad that she likes me, so we’ll see where it goes.” This marked his third song on the show following “Easy” in the Season 2 premiere and “Rainbow” on the October 16 episode.
When Nicole declared the tall, neon green monster to be her “future husband,” Jenny McCarthy chimed in, “You could have a baby Thingamajig, Nicole!” Okay, even we’ll admit that sounds like the cutest thing ever — perhaps a spinoff series?
This week each of the contestants got to bring out a physical clue to tease the audience with, and his was an American sign language dictionary. “This book taught me how to communicate with others, which is the most important Thingamajig,” he revealed.
When it came time for the panelists to make their guesses, they thought folks like Montell Jordan, Tony Parker, Dennis Rodman and Ronnie DeVoe might be hiding behind the Thingamajig costume. Who do YOU think it is? “I don’t even need to know who he is, I love him already,” Nicole proclaimed.
