“The Masked Singer” delivered another elimination this week with the Eagle, who was later revealed to be Dr. Drew Pinsky, being sent home. This brings the total number of ousted performers to four. Pinsky joins Johnny Weir (Egg), Ninja (Ice Cream) and Laila Ali (Panda) who have all gotten the axe in Season 2. So we want to know, of those who didn’t make it, which one do YOU think most deserves a second chance? Vote in our poll below.
This week Pinsky tried to wow the crowd off the bat by singing “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)” by Meat Loaf but they preferred the Flower who belted Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5.” He tried to save himself from being taken down with his rendering of Nancy Sinatra‘s “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'” but still managed to lose out to Penguin with her take on “Worth It” by Fifth Harmony.
In last week’s episode, Ali tried to electrify the crowd with her take on Kelly Clarkson’s, “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” but ended up finishing behind Flamingo’s production of “Sucker” by the Jonas Brothers. She tried to stay in the competition with a performance of “All I Do is Win” by DJ Khaled but was outdone by Leopard, who sang Aretha Franklin‘s “Respect.”
In part one of the season premiere, Weir got the chance to sing Lady Gaga‘s “Just Dance” in his face-off but lost out to the Butterfly singing “Bang Bang” by Jessi J., Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. He then got the chance to rock out with “One Way or Another” by Blondie but was bested by Skeleton who performed “Hard to Handle” by Otis Redding.
In the season premiere’s second part, Ninja executed “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus but was outdone by Tree with a staging of “High Hopes” by Panic! at the Disco. In the subsequent smack down, he tried to excite the crowd with “Whip It” by Devo but the audience favored Ladybug instead with her rendition of Pat Benatar‘s “Hit Me with Your Best Shot.”
