On Wednesday’s final of “The Masked Singer,” we’ll get our first looks at the famous faces hidden behind the masks of the Monster, Peacock and Bee. We don’t know for certain the names of the two men still in the competition but we are 100% sure that the Bee is Gladys Knight. What do you think? Read our reasoning below and then vote in the poll. If you think the Bee is someone else be sure to put your best guess in the comments section.
The Bee showed off her singing voice on the semi-final when she aced her cover of the Aretha Franklin classic “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” After she nailed that last note, Robin Thicke declared with certainty that it was Gladys. But Ken Jeong disagreed, and said it is someone who wants us to think she is Gladys and is disguising her voice. As to who that could be, Ken suggested Patti LaBelle.

We might be tempted to agree with Ken but the clues that the Bee has given along the way all point to her being Gladys. The most telling of these was when she declared, “You can call me Queen Bee, but empress also suits me.” Gladys is well-known as the Empress of Soul.
Were that not enough to convince you, the Bee admitted she has been singing since the 1950s (Gladys got her start on TV’s ‘Ted Mack’s The Original Amateur Hour’ in 1952). And she revealed that she has recorded plenty of hits (Gladys has racked up 11 number-one R&B singles and six number-one R&B albums).
Since the Bee sang her first song — “Chandelier” by Sia — she has consistently delivered. She nailed her covers of “Locked Out of Heaven” by Bruno Mars, “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus and “What’s Love Got to Do with It” by Tina Turner.
