Lion roared once again on “The Masked Singer” stage in Wednesday’s seventh episode, performing Lady Gaga‘s “Diamond Heart” for judges Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke and guest panelist J.B. Smoove. Back in the first episode the judges thought that Lion might actually be Lady Gaga, but this week essentially proved that theory wrong. What did YOU think of Lion’s latest performance on Fox’s reality TV show? Watch it above and then let us know down in the comments section.
“She always delivers, every single week,” announced Jenny. “You are a true star. Amazing voice.” As for Jenny’s guess, she took the clue about wanting to “separate from the pack” to mean that Lion was once in a girl group — maybe Mel B, Kelly Rowland or Michelle Williams.
J.B. declared, “You are a golden piece of gaudy jewelry, do you understand? If I was a rapper I would wear you around my damn neck. I don’t know who the hell you are, but goddangit, I’m impressed.” The comedian later had Lion laughing when he said that he’s “solved a lot of mysteries” in his time, including “Who shot Ray Ray?”

Nicole added, “What I love about you, Lion, is you have this great soulful country tone. You made a reference to bluegrass. I grew up in Kentucky, so I don’t know if you come from Kentucky or the south, but I hear it in your tone. I still think she was part of a girl group.”
One final note Robin wanted to make was the “Gold Found in Hailey” newspaper clipping in Lion’s clues video. That’s when Nicole jumped in, “Oh! Hailee Steinfeld in ‘True Grit’!” Could Nicole have just figured out Lion’s true identity?
