‘The Masked Singer’ preview: October 16 episode will reunite Nicole Scherzinger with her one true love, Thingamajig

Wednesday’s fifth episode of “The Masked Singer” will be one to watch out for, as Nicole Scherzinger finally reunites with her one true love, Thingamajig. The judge has declared she wants to “marry” the green monster, and now he’ll appear on stage for the first time since the Season 2 premiere. Joining Thingamajig on October 16 will be Black Widow, Butterfly, Flamingo, Leopard and Skeleton. Each costumed celebrity will perform once for the votes of the in-studio audience and panelists Nicole, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke, with the loser having to unmask in front of America.

“I would date him after that vocal performance,” Nicole will declare about Thingamajig while playing with her hair. Following his performance, Nicole and the monster will share a special moment as both give each other air hearts. “I’d marry you,” she whispers. Does Thingamajig feel the same way? We’ll all find out Wednesday night.

Based on their performances in the first rounds, Butterfly, Thingamajig, Black Widow and Flamingo are the four front-runners heading into this week as they all won their initial head-to-head match-ups. The two who lost the audience votes but rallied in their respective Smackdowns were Skeleton (thanks to his “Hard to Handle” cover) and Leopard (after rocking out to “Respect”).

So far four celebrities have been eliminated in this current fall cycle of “The Masked Singer”: figure skater Johnny Weir as Egg, gamer Ninja as Ice Cream, boxer Laila Ali as Panda and talk show host Dr. Drew Pinsky as Eagle. Might either Skeleton or Leopard be the next to have their identities revealed?

There are still 12 contestants left in the competition, so take a look below at how they’ve been divided over the next two weeks on Fox’s wild and wacky reality TV show:
