The sixth episode of “The Masked Singer,” which returns after the World Series, will welcome back a half-dozen costumed celebrities who haven’t been seen in a while: Flower, Fox, Ladybug, Penguin, Rottweiler and Tree. The first time Flower performed, she became an instant fan favorite thanks to her booming voice and stage presence. Panelists Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke even thought such famous names as Patti LaBelle, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J and Bjork might be hiding behind the Flower mask.
Based on her performance of “9 to 5” in the introductory rounds, Flower is now one of the four front-runners heading into next week as she won her initial head-to-head match-up. The other leaders who out-sang the early competition were Fox, Rottweiler and Tree.
The two contestants who lost the audience votes but rallied in their respective Smackdowns were Ladybug (thanks to her cover of “Hit Me with Your Best Shot”) and Penguin (after rocking out to “Worth It”). Does that mean either Ladybug or Penguin will be the next to have their identities revealed in front of America? We’ll all find out after the World Series on Fox.
So far five celebrities have been eliminated in this current fall cycle of “The Masked Singer”: figure skater Johnny Weir as Egg, gamer Ninja as Ice Cream, boxer Laila Ali as Panda, talk show host Dr. Drew Pinsky as Eagle and musician Paul Shaffer as Skeleton. Which of these performers do you miss the most?
There are still 11 contestants left in the competition, so take a look below at how they’ve been divided over the next couple weeks on Fox’s wild and wacky reality TV show:
