Reality TV showmances are commonplace nowadays, whether it’s Jackson Michie and Holly Allen on “Big Brother” or Miss Vanjie and Brooke Lynn on “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” One program that’s never given birth to a romantic entanglement is “The Masked Singer,” and for good reason — it’s hard to fall in love when all of those extravagant costumes get in the way. At least, that’s until Fox just released a video (watch above) between panelist Nicole Scherzinger and contestant Thingamajig that’s sure to get viewers hot under the collar.
“They’re massive!” Nicole exclaims when she first set eyes on the neon green monster in the Season 2 premiere. We’re assuming she’s referring to his big blue hands, which make his microphone look minuscule by comparison. “He’s tall,” she later salivates while peering through her binoculars.
As the clip package continues, we see new “Masked Singer” footage of Thingamajig singing a love song that hasn’t yet aired on TV. “I would date him after that vocal performance,” Nicole states while playing with her hair. “He’s so cool!”
Following that performance, Nicole has a special moment with the monster as they both give each other air hearts. That’s when she says the three words that will either reel in Thingamajig for life, or make him scurry away in fear: “I’d marry you.”
Thingamajig’s performance of “Easy” by Commodores had the panelists guessing such celebs as Michael Strahan, Steph Curry and Dennis Rodman. — who do YOU think it is? Find out how the showmance between Nicole and Thingamajig plays out as “The Masked Singer” continues airing Wednesdays on Fox.
