“We can go anywhere, anytime, anyplace,” Victor Oladipo told Nicole Scherzinger after he was unmasked as Thingamajig during Wednesday’s semi-finals episode of “The Masked Singer.” All season long Nicole has had a crush on the neon green monster, resulting in a rather surprising reality TV showmance. Now that the NBA player from the Indiana Pacers is no longer wearing his extravagant costume, he’s totally open to going on a date with the Pussycat Dolls singer. Hmm …. we smell a celeb-reality spin-off!
“The Masked Singer” host Nick Cannon joked, “Anywhere, anytime, anyplace? Sounds like a song lyric to me.” Nicole didn’t get a chance to respond to Victor asking her out, but since she proposed marriage to him earlier in the season we have a strong feeling a date will happen sooner rather than later.
Ken Jeong was the only judge who figured out Victor’s true identity, making it his first correct guess of the season. The other panelists picked such names as Montell Jordan, Paul George and Markelle Fultz. “First of all, I can’t believe I got anything right!” Ken proclaimed after jumping up and down. “If I’m gonna get anyone right, honestly to get Victor Oladipo, because I am just a huge fan of yours. I’m just so glad you’re doing better. You have an amazing voice!”
Victor admitted to Nick it felt “great” to be on “The Masked Singer” because he went through a “rough year.” He added, “To be able to come out here and put smiles on peoples’ faces and do something fun for once and kind of get away from the game has been awesome. It’s nothing but a blessing for me.” Did YOU correctly guess Thingamajig’s true identity? Let us know down in the comments section.
Thingamajig faced off against Flamingo, Fox, Rottweiler and Leopard in the holiday semi-finals, with the panelists and studio audience voting to send home Thingamajig in fifth place and Leopard (who turned out to be singer Seal) in fourth place. That sets the stage for next week’s Season 2 finale when Flamingo, Fox and Rottweiler will compete to win the Golden Mask.
