Fox’s reality TV show “The Masked Singer” revealed its third celebrity at the end of Wednesday’s episode that welcomed back five costumed characters for encore performances: Deer, Unicorn, Monster, Lion and Peacock. Unfortunately, Deer ended up being voted out by the audience and judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke and guest Joel McHale, so he had to unmask himself in dramatic fashion (watch above). Did YOU guess that it was actually NFL personality Terry Bradshaw inside the Deer costume singing Florida Georgia Line‘s “Get Your Shine On”?
After the announcement was made that Deer was about to head home, host Nick Cannon proclaimed, “This is bittersweet for me because I hate to see you go, but I’m glad I’m not gonna be getting stabbed with those damn antlers.”
The judges then made their final guesses for who they thought was under the Deer mask. Thicke said that he recognized Bradshaw’s iconic shoulder laugh. Scherzinger also guessed Bradshaw because of all the athlete clues. McCarthy went with Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. McHale picked Bradshaw because of the way he walked down the stairs. Jeong said, “It is someone who played on a team with a horse on it. It is NFL Hall of Famer John Elway.”
As the audience shouted, “Take it off! Take it off!” the Deer reached up to remove his costumed head, ultimately revealing Terry Bradshaw. The two-time Super Bowl MVP and sports broadcaster said that his time on the show was “so stressful” and he even thanked everyone “for voting me off.” He then added with a smile, “It’s been so much fun!”
Bradshaw is now the third singer to unmask in front of America, following Pittsburgh Steelers football player Antonio Brown (as Hippo) and comedic legend Tommy Chong (as Pineapple). Let us know down in the comments section whether you guessed that Bradshaw was hiding behind the Deer costume on “The Masked Singer” Episode 3.
