On episode four of “The Masked Singer” six celebrities returned to sing for survival. Of these, four were put through by the audience after their first appearances on the show (the Butterfly and Thingamajig in episode one and the Black Widow and Flamingo in week two). The other two contestants — the Leopard and Skeleton — only made it through when they won over the judges (Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke). Their respective opponents, Panda and Egg and, were revealed to be boxer Laila Ali and skater Johnny Weir.
Both the Leopard and Skeleton are hoping to avoid a sing-off again. We’ve been doing some detective work and have all “The Masked Singer” spoilers for week four, including the real name of the Leopard. (Be sure to check out our best guesses for the other five celebrities: the Black Widow, Butterfly, Flamingo, Skeleton and Thingamajig.)
The height of the Leopard combined with his over-the-top manner has us convinced that he is NBA all-star Dennis Rodman. Before the Leopard sang on episode 2, the judges had thought this was a woman, because of the high-pitched auto tuning of the voice. They quickly realized their mistake when he started singing “Somebody to Love” by Queen.
Jenny and Nicole were wowed by his performance. McCarthy believed it was someone “major” under the costume, such as the Oscar winner Jamie Foxx. And Scherzinger made note of his “mature” voice. Robin went through the clues and thought the Leopard was Billy Porter, the Emmy-winning actor from “Pose,” even citing the way he held the microphone. And Ken suggested it was British singing star Robbie Williams.
But none of these men match the physical appearance of the Leopard. And those glimpses of headlines in the video package could be inspired by Rodman’s antics on and off the court. What do you think of our guess? Who do you think is hiding inside the Leopard costume? Sound off in the comments section below.
