Episode 5 of “The Masked Singer” on November 6 saw the return of three celebrities from week three — Flower, Fox and Penguin — who again climbed into their elaborate costumes and took to the stage to perform a hit song. On that installment of this hit reality competition series, each had earned enough votes after they sang to stay in the competition.
While the Flower and Fox won over the audience, the Penguin was forced into a sing-off with the Eagle. The latter lost out with the judges (Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke) and was revealed to be Dr. Drew Pinsky. We’ve been doing some digging about the identities of all of the remaining contestants. Keep reading for “The Masked Singer” spoilers, including the real name of the Penguin.
We are sure that the Penguin is singer turned reality TV star Tamar Braxton. Braxton’s bio fits with the clues that the Penguin gave and her voice matches that of the contestant who sang both “In the Middle” and “I’m Worth It” on episode 3 on October 9.
The Penguin candidly revealed that she has been told repeatedly that she’s not pretty enough or funny enough. She declared that she is singing for those who dare to be different. And she admitted many in Hollywood consider her career to be over.

In her clues video, the Penguin teases that she is sure to make it to the finale as she already has her tux; Tamar posed in a tuxedo for the cover of her 2013 album “Love and War.” She says that she will bring the heat, which reads as a reference to the title of one of her sister Toni Braxton‘s hits. And the Penguin readily admits to changing her hairstyle frequently; Tamar is open about her love of wigs.
