
We can’t believe that season 2 of “The Masked Singer” is halfway over as of November 13. Episode 7 aired Wednesday night and the eighth celebrity was eliminated from the reality competition series. The five contestants vying for the votes of judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke were disguised as the Flower, Fox, Ladybug, Rottweiler and Tree.
While we will find out the name of the eliminated contender, we can’t wait till then. That is why we’ve been busy trying to figure out the true identities of the stars ever since season 2 started in September. We’ve watched their clues videos repeatedly and taken another look at their performances. We’ve been impressed by the singing style of the Rottweiler and think we know who this is. The Rottweiler is Chris Daughtry, who came to fame on “American Idol” and is now lead singer in the band Daughtry.
The Rottweiler sounded just like Daughtry when he rocked the house in week 1 with his cover of the Hall & Oates hit “Maneater” and then stormed the stage in week 5 with his version of “Love Runs Out” by OneRepublic.
The Rottweiler says that he wants to show the world that “it’s not over” when it comes to his career. That is the title of Daughtry’s first big hit in 2006.
The Rottweiler says he became famous overnight; Daughtry was the breakout star of season 5 of “American Idol” in 2006.

In the Rottweiler clues video we see a photo of blue roses; Daughtry has a large tattoo of a blue rose, which he describes as a symbol of love, prosperity and eternal life.
The Rottweiler admits that he loves playing football but he is now content to watch from the sidelines; Chris played on his high school team.
