Were you one of the 10 million people who tuned into the first episode of “The Masked Singer” on Wednesday? The show concluded with the unmasking of one of the six celebrities who had performed (the Hippo was Pittsburgh Steelers Antonio Brown). While we still don’t know for sure the identities of the other five famous faces inside those elaborate animal costumes, we’ve been doing some digging. We’ve already posted our theories on who the Peacock, Lion, Deer and Monster really are.
Next, we turn our attention to the third winner of the sing-offs, the Unicorn. She brought the show to a stand-still at the midway point with her scorching cover of “Fight Song by Rachel Platten. (Watch her riveting performance in the video above.) So, who is this hidden talent?
Forget that misleading speculation by judges Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy that it could be Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton hidden inside.
We are all but certain that the Unicorn is Tori Spelling.
Let’s break down the clues she gave before singing:
“I was born in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods” – Tori is the daughter of TV producer Aaron Spelling who produced “Beverly Hills 90210,” the FOX show on which she came to fame. The opening sequence of that soap is referenced in her clues video.
“My childhood should have been magical” – She chronicled her unhappiness in her 2008 tell-all “Stori Telling.”
After the Unicorn performed, Nicole Scherzinger pointed out that this was not a trained singer and was definitely someone older (Spelling is 45 and she has raised her voice in song in various TV shows.)
We won’t find out for sure if Tori is the Unicorn till she is unmasked. That will only happen if she loses a match-up or wins the show. Do you think we are right about the true identity of the Unicorn? Sound off in the comments section with your best guesses.
