“The Masked Singer” on FOX is must-see-TV this falls because of its intriguing premise: stars wearing elaborate costumes and sing songs in the hope of winning over the judging panel and studio audience so that they can stay in the competition. Over the course of the first two episodes a dozen celebrities performed and nine of them made the cut. The three sent home so far are the Egg (Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir), the Ice Cream (professional gamer and YouTube star Tyler “Ninja” Blevins) and the Panda (boxer Laila Ali).
On the third show, which aired on October 9, four more contestants took to the stage dressed as an Eagle, Flower, Fox and Penguin. They performed for the four judges: Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke. We’ve done some digging and think we’ve figured out the identity of these four stars, including the real name of the Flower. Keep reading for “The Masked Singer” spoilers.
The Flower is actress Mayim Bialik. Consider the clues and you will see this makes the most sense.
She says, “I blossom in every field I plant myself in and I am here to branch out yet again.” After starring in the TV series “Blossom,” Mayim went on to get a PhD in neuroscience.
And in the video package, we see a flash of the three digits 314, which is the apartment number for Amy Farrah-Fowler, the character she played on “The Big Bang Theory.”
Bialik is a big user of social media and often posts Facebook videos of her singing pop hits with her pal Noey including “Thundery” by Imagine Dragons and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera.
Our only concern is that we can’t figure out how the following clue applies to Mayim: “I’m going to put my petals to the metal and make the other singers wilt.”
What do you think of our guess? We won’t know if we are right till the Flower is unmasked when she leaves the competition or wins season 2 of “The Masked Singer.” Who do you think is hiding inside the Flower costume? Sound off in the comments section below.
