‘The Voice’ comeback stage: How will this work on season 16 with Bebe Rexha as the fifth coach?

Were you as disappointed as we were with how the comeback stage worked on season 15 of “The Voice”? Don’t worry. Producers have listened to your complaints and are tweaking this part of the competition for season 16. We’ve done some digging and have all the details.

Singing sensation Bebe Rexha is the fifth coach in charge of the this phase of the competition. The digital series, “Comeback Stage,” streams on YouTube, Instagram TV, Facebook and NBC.com. In the first few episodes, we will see Bebe working with a half dozen hopefuls who didn’t merit a chair turn in the blind auditions or lost in the battle round.

She will pit pairs of these hopefuls up against each other in new battles, just as the four regular coaches — Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton — did on the main show. The winners of those battles will then compete against each other for the a place in the final two. They will then sing on a playoffs result show and compete in the first Instant Save of the season. The winner will get to decide which of the four teams to join and be part of the Top 12.
