‘The Voice’ Top 10 results: Jake Hoot gets Apple Music bonus but who will sing for Instant Save?

The Voice” Top 10 artists each sang one song on Monday’s live episode with the goal of getting it to the top of the iTunes chart. The pressure was on as viewers had just one hour after the show went off the air to stream their favorite tunes on Apple Music. The artist who generated the most clicks earns a five-times vote multiplier that could prove key to keeping them in the competition when Carson Daly revealed the results on Tuesday’s show.

For the first time this season, two of the contestants coached by Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani cracked the Top 10 on iTunes (this had been a requirement to get the multiplier until this edition of the reality competition series.).

Jake Hoot from Team Kelly Clarkson hit #5 with his rollicking rendition of “That Ain’t My Truck.” Katie Kadan from Team John Legend reached #9 with her version of “Rolling In the Deep.” She had been the best of the bunch last week when she got to #15 with her cover of “Without You.” (See the full list of songs and where the Top 10 ranked below.)

Kadan could the one to watch this season. She also placed a strong second on the charts two weeks ago with “I’m Going Down,” which still ranks as #121. That week’s leader was Kadan’s teammate Marybeth Byrd, who came in at #18 for her rendition of “Go Rest High On That Mountain.”  This week she is down at #43 for her cover of “Lose You To Love Me.”

For the third week running, Joana Martinez and Shane Q are at the bottom of the charts and are the likeliest to have to sing for the Instant Save.
