‘The Voice’ Top 8 eliminations predictions: Kim Cherry, Andrew Sevener, Shawn Sounds, Rod Stokes out on May 14

The Voice” Top 8 take to the stage on Monday May 13 to sing for America’s votes. We asked viewers of “The Voice” to weigh in with their predictions as to which four of these artists will number among the eliminations this week. The results are clear with four contestants — Kim Cherry, Andrew Sevener, Shawn Sounds and Rod Stokes — each registering low single digit support  as of this writing.

Of the four most in danger of being eliminated, two (Andrew and Kim) are on Team Blake Shelton. But even if they are eliminated as we predict, Blake will still count three artists (Carter Lloyd Horne, Gyth Rigdon, Dexter Roberts) in the Top 4. Blake has won six of the first 15 seasons of the show.

Shawn is one of two artists under the guidance of rookie coach John Legend. Should Shawn leave as we expect, this EGOT champ would bring Maelyn Jarmon to the final four. Conversely, Rod is the sole artist being coached by reigning two-time champ Kelly Clarkson.

Each of the Top 8 will sing a solo on Monday’s show and also do a duet on a hit for The Beatles with another contestant. On Tuesday’s results show, the three artists who rack up the most votes are guaranteed to move on in the competition. Likewise, the two with the fewest votes are instantly eliminated. And the three in the middle will sing again with viewers voting via Twitter in the Instant Save for the one artist that will go through to the Top 4.

If you haven’t voted yet, weigh in with your pick as to which of these Top 8 artists will be crowned champion of “The Voice” on May 21. Cast your ballot in our poll at the bottom of this post. And be sure to sound off in the comments section about your favorites and those that you will be glad to see go.
