After three solid performance on “The Voice” finale on Monday, Maelyn Jarmon has solidified her lead over Gyth Rigdon and is predicted to be named winner of season 16 on Tuesday’s results show. While there is a slim chance that Dexter Roberts could pull off an upset, the other Top 4 artist, Andrew Sevener, is out of the running according to viewers of “The Voice.”
In the results of our overnight winner predictions poll as of this writing, Maelyn, who is both the last woman standing and the sole artist on Team John Legend, is way ahead with 52% of the total tally. The three men still in the competition are all being coached by Blake Shelton: Gyth is at 32%; Dexter breaks into the double digits with 11%; and Andrew, who won the Instant Save last week, has 4% support.
While Legend had appeared on “The Voice” before as a mentor, this is his first season as a coach. A win would be a great welcome for this EGOT champ who is set to return to the show in the fall. Shelton has been with the show since it launched in 2011. He won that first season and five more since. The last of those victories was in season 13 when Chloe Kohanski prevailed. The other two coaches, reigning two-time champ Kelly Clarkson and veteran Adam Levine, are out of the running.
