The final dance group still in the running to win “America’s Got Talent,” V.Unbeatable, took the stage during Tuesday’s Finals episode and had everyone’s jaws on the floor. The dancers jumped from balconies and seemingly walked in midair throughout their performance, with Howie Mandel calling it the “most thrilling” act in the show’s history. Do you think V.Unbeatable, which is named after their deceased founder Vikas, will join the “AGT” winners list? Watch the performance video above, read the judges’ comments below and then make your predictions before Wednesday’s finale.
Howie Mandel: “I have never seen anything like this. This is the most exciting, the most dangerous, the most thrilling act in the history of ‘AGT.’ The homage that you’re paying to your partner, my heart is filled with that. The V from his name also stands in English for the V for victory and I think that performance was a victory.”
Gabrielle Union: “My adrenaline is out of this world. That was un-freaking-believable. We didn’t even know where to look. Everywhere we looked it was pure excellence. You guys killed that performance. Amazing! Oh my goodness.”
Julianne Hough: “I mean, my mind is exploding. Everything that you guys do is precision, it is excellence, it is everything that a dance crew has to be — to be partners, to be connected. You guys absolutely crushed it. I didn’t know how you guys were gonna top yourselves. You can fly, you can float, you can do it all. It’s unbelievable.”
Simon Cowell: “I think the VT, your film, put everything into perspective in terms of the danger level. Rarely do we see an act in the first audition do something as good in the Finals. That, if we had one, would have been a Golden Buzzer performance, genuinely. Lastly, all I want to say is the VT described you and Terry said that you’re the last dance group. You’re not a dance group. You are what I would call a movement. You are a game-changer.”
In his “AGT” live blog, our recapper John Benutty had this to say about the performance: “V.Unbeatable had the daunting task of opening the final set of performances, but if anyone was up to the task it was them. Their routine tonight was more precise than it’s ever been before and they returned with the same high energy and big risk tricks that we love from them – Howie called them the most thrilling act in ‘AGT’ history. Tonight they leapt from balconies and did flips across a tower of blocks all to a sick beat of electro-tech music. Gabrielle called it ‘pure excellence.'”
