Season 11 of the Emmy-winning “RuPaul’s Drag Race” kicks off on VH1 on Thursday (February 28), with a sizzling premiere that showcases the 15 fierce queens in the competition. Fourteen of the would-be winners are newcomers to the franchise. The fifteenth competitor is Vanessa Vanjie Mateo who was the first contestant bounced from season 10 of the show.
She is showcased in the premiere episode, titled “Whatcha Unpackin.'” Watch the first 16 minutes of fun and games unfold in the clip above. Vanessa, who hails from Los Angeles, hides in the workroom to get a sneak peek at her competition. The line-up is one of the fiercest ever assembled by RuPaul Charles in the history of the show.
