While the celebrities are making their grand entrances on the 2020 Golden Globes red carpet, Gold Derby presents our annual tradition of a live pre-show. Watch our two-hour program above at 6:00 p.m. ET; 3:00 p.m. PT and make your own comments below about our last minute predictions and analysis for all 14 film categories and 11 TV categories decided by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Gold Derby editors Rob Licuria and Riley Chow will be co-hosting. Joining them will be editors Marcus Dixon, Zach Laws and Daniel Montgomery, plus contributors Charles Bright, Luca Giliberti and Tony Ruiz.

I will be on the red carpet hosting interviews which will be posted soon after the ceremony starts. We will also provide you with backstage press room interviews with the winners.

The 77th annual event from the HFPA will be live on NBC tonight and is hosted for the fifth time by Ricky Gervais in Beverly Hills. Tom Hanks will be receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award for life achievement in film. Ellen DeGeneres will accept the Carol Burnett Award for life achievement in television.

Top film nominees in the drama categories are “1917,” “The Irishman,” “Joker,” “Marriage Story” and “The Two Popes.” Comedy film nominees are “Dolemite Is My Name,” “Jojo Rabbit,” “Knives Out,” “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and “Rocketman.” Last year’s two movie champs were “Bohemian Rhapsody” (drama) and “Green Book” (comedy), the latter of which went on to an Oscar Best Picture victory a few weeks later.
